CUTS IT AT B&Q

Machinery Sales Ltd is helping DIY retail giant
B&Q maintain its high level of customer service
by providing Striebig vertical panel saws for
use in-store.
It
has so far supplied 139 Econom IIA models to B&Q
outlets nationwide, chiefly B&Q Warehouses, with
more due to be delivered to newly opened stores
during 2003. The saws are used by B&Q staff to
measure and cut all kinds of wood, timber, laminated
and plastic sheet material to the exact sizes
required by customers.

Striebig's
compact Econom IIA has been tailor-made to meet
the specific needs of B&Q. It has a maximum cut
size of 3,300mm x 2,060mm, an 80mm cut depth and
incorporates a powerful, smooth running 4hp motor
and an automatic moving support frame. Additional
features have been built in to provide for the
speedy cutting of small work pieces as well as
heavy items such as kitchen worktops.

Machinery Sales, of Leicester, is the sole UK
agent for the Swiss-made, precision-built Striebig
range. In addition to supplying and commissioning
the saws it also provides B&Q with a guaranteed
next day spares and service backup, and carries
out regular bi-annual services to ensure the saws
remain in tip-top working order.
B&Q
is the UK's largest home improvement and garden
centre retailer. It is committed to further expansion
of its B&Q Warehouse format with a target of operating
125 stores by 2004.
