BUDGET PRICED 'BABY' SANDER SMALL WORKSHOPS
With
the launch at Ligna of the budget-priced Speedsander
from Timesavers- Sandingmaster, even the smallest
workshop can now afford a highly efficient through-
feed sander.

As
well as being the perfect entry-level machine
for the smaller workshop, it will be of interest
to larger businesses that occasionally need a
second sander. The compact wide-belt 7.5 kW sander
is for work pieces up to 900mm wide and 100mm
thick, with no limit on their length.
It
has a single 1525mm long abrasive belt on a combination
head that features a contact roller for calibrating
and a 38mm wide felt pad for fine sanding. It
has a variable feed speed of between 3m and 10m/min
to cope with varied sanding applications.
The
abrasive belt is controlled by an electronic belt
tracking system and can be changed quickly and
easily, thanks to simple quick-lock holding device.
Among the built-in safety features are an outboard
door interlock, emergency stop buttons on the
outfeed, an in-feed emergency stop bar and an
air activated emergency brake. It comes with a
4.5m long power cable.
Due
to its extremely compact construction and low
weight - just 700 kg - the Speedsander can be
moved easily around the workshop. To make it even
more portable, it can also be supplied fitted
with a set of castors.
